    It's not true, there aren't any jobs or opportunities in Canada. I'm a native born Canada and can speak fluently in English and French, college educated and frankly the job market is completely dead. The gov is so corrupt right now and the economy so terrible that I wouldn't recommend anyone move here right now.

    The concept of 'using the credit card everywhere it was accepted and paying it off in full every month' was a trick I learned when I was 19 years old in order to circumvent a debit limit my bank account had (15 debits per month for a free bank account). Paying off the credit card every month counted/counts as only 1 debit. The only debits I made were at Dollarama (until they started accepting credit cards in 2018), the online electricity bill and communal laundry in my apartment building (both of which were payable by debit card only).

    Thank you for the video! Looking forward to move to Quebec soon. One thing i didn't get about the recruitment website is that there's a text saying "The basis of the recruitment charge is usually a percentage of the annual salary of the recruited candidate. This charge ranges between 15% and 25%. The harder the recruitment process the higher the charge range. The recruitment fee is determined during the initial discussion when the hiring manager explains the mandate to the recruitment consultant in Canada." but in the video it was very clear about that being a scam... not sure what i should do now with the recruitment agencies or if the website is not actually good...

    Canada is the No. 2 best country in the world. The country has a GDP of $2.14 trillion and is the second-largest country by total area after Russia. In terms of cost of living, Canada is, on average, 11.2% lower than the United States, and renting in the country is 30.4% lower than in the U.S., according to Numbeo. Nova Scotia. Horrible Health care. Nobody has a family doctor. 12+ hours wait in emergency waiting room to see a doctor. That’s IF the outpatient emergency is even open… In rural areas, if you need an ambulance, be prepared to wait a long time for them to get to you. Many times there are no ambulances available in your community. Rural communities do not have a transportation infrastructure such as buses, trains. Better have your own vehicle to go get your groceries! And taxes 😫 Highest in Canada. Rural areas have no jobs either. Lots of old dilapidated houses can be flipped, but you better have deep pockets. Not enough housing for people coming here either. City has limited amount of apartments/condos to rent with a very long line of people applying for these. And the rent is off the charts high. Rural areas are also very limited on rentals available. And the roads across NS are in really bad shape. Potholes will ruin your vehicle. But I will end on a positive note. It’s a beautiful and scenic place. Nova Scotians are warm and friendly. Beautiful beaches and lots of nature surrounds us. And our seafood is delicious! Good luck! 😊

    Should research more before making these kinds of claims. Alberta has the worst wage growth in Canada, the worst unemployment rate (Calgary), the highest inflation and higest utilities in Canada. Rent has been going up 30-50% a year. I sold my townhouse last week in an hour for 50 thousand over asking. The train has indeed left the station, in fact it was like that already before they even had the Alberta is calling campaign. Now it’s really just diluting the talent pool to drive down wages. Unfortunately, people are gullible.

    • @MakeThatChange
      @MakeThatChange 2 дня назад

      You're right, more research is always a good idea. Wage growth - depends on which timeframe you're referring to. Wage growth lagged between 2018-2022, but rebound since then and has just posted it's first decline in nearly 12 months, so would love if you shared some sources on this. It is worth considering overall weekly average earnings compared to other provinces along with wage growth. Your unemployment statement may not entirely accurate, thought close (unless we assume that Calgary is the only city in Alberta), at least not according to statscan: www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=1410028703 Inflation/utilities: that's fair, Alberta has shown some of the highest inflation, specifically because so many people are moving to Alberta, so we should probably agree that the train has indeed left the station haha. I think it's also worth keeping in mind 1) income tax 2) sales tax. I'd be curious to see how the cost of living and inflation stacks up compared to taxation.

    I’m sorry, but Canadians born and raised here are having difficulty finding good meaningful jobs. We just don’t have the infrastructure put in place to support all the immigrants coming into the country. It’s not that we don’t want or need them eventually we do but we’re overloading our systems and things are breaking.
